Panko Fried Tofu Nuggets
Panko friend tofu nuggets are pan-fried, crispy, crunchy, golden tofu nuggets. This is a vegan take on the classic chicken nugget.

- 1 package extra firm tofu
- 1¼ cup non-dairy milk
- 2 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoon hot sauce
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1½ cup panko bread crumbs
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
Press the tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove as much liquid as possible. Cut the tofu into square nuggets.
Mix the milk, yellow mustard, hot sauce, and salt in a medium bowl.
Mix flour and remaining spices in another medium size bowl.
Dip the tofu one piece at a time in the wet mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture.
Fry the tofu on medium heat in about ¼ inch of oil in a large skillet. It will take just a few minutes for each size to turn golden. When done, place on a plate lined with a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
