  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 1 cup water or broth cold


  • Run water over the jasmine rice until the water runs clear.
  • Add the jasmine rice and water to the Instant Pot.
  • Close the lid and turn the venting knob to sealing. Pressure cook on HIGH pressure for 3 minutes. It will take about 5 minutes to come to pressure before the cook time begins. Follow the cook time with a 10-minute natural release. After, turn the knob to venting to finish releasing pressure.
  • Open the lid and fluff the rice. Season as desired and serve.


I use the pressure cook button rather than the rice setting.
